Workplace Mediation

How it Works
Mediation is entirely voluntary, and our mediators are specifically trained to encourage each party to contribute to a working solution that lasts - by them, for them.
Mediation is a "without prejudice" conversation, so what is discussed can't be used for any other purpose.
The mediator will spend up to an hour online with each party, a few days before the mediation day. This will allow them the opportunity to raise any concerns or questions about the process, and give the mediator the opportunity to start to build a relationship with them.
On the day of mediation, individuals will have their own independent space, where the mediator will spend time with them. They will explore the issue and understand where some of the conflict has come from.
When the time is right, the mediator will bring the individuals together to try and form a workable agreement about how to move forward.
The agreement is whatever they decide they can work with (within reason!), and remains confidential to them, even after the mediation.
What it Costs
Appleton HR Limited provides CMC qualified Workplace Mediators. The cost for our services is £625 per party plus any meeting rooms, reasonable travel costs and overnight accommodation required.
This includes the pre-call mediation calls, full mediation day and follow up.
Costs will be clearly detailed so that there are no surprises. This remains a time and cost effective way of dealing with difficulties before they become grievances, or worse, Employment Tribunals.
